Diagnostic imaging is pivotal in the diagnosis of benign and malignant tumors and in monitoring a patient’s response to treatment. Imaging is often the most accurate way to find and characterize tumors, and through imaging guidance, to biopsy tumors for diagnosis. At Marshall, we use state-of-the-art equipment in radiography, mammography, ultrasonography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine and positron emission tomography (PET) for imaging. Biopsies of tumors may be performed using ultrasonography, CT and MRI guidance for precise targeting and patient safety.
Radiologists certified by the American Board of Radiology work closely with primary and specialty care physicians in giving timely and accurate imaging interpretations, and arranging and performing biopsies of tumors. They also help devise the best treatment strategies.
Patients will find dedicated, caring and helpful staff that will expertly tend to their imaging needs. Our diagnostic imaging services are located within close proximity to other Marshall clinics in Placerville and Cameron Park.
