A Certified Team You Can Trust

Baby-Friendly USA Logo During your stay at Marshall, our team of OBGYN physicians, certified nurse midwives, pediatricians, and Birth Center staff provides collaborative individualized care for you and your baby. As a Baby-Friendly designated hospital, we are recognized for offering optimal care for infant feeding and mother-baby bonding.

Create Your Ideal Birth Experience

We provide all the amenities to support you during your labor and postpartum stay. Our spacious labor rooms feature comfort measures and labor support tools such as multifunctional beds, large jet tubs, ambiance lighting, aromatherapy, birth balls, peanut balls, squat bars, and a pull-out bed for your support person. In addition, we have all the equipment to support the progression of your labor and safe delivery. We have a specialized operating room conveniently located within our unit for cesarean delivery.

Supporting Mother and Baby

Healthy newborns remain rooming-in with their family following the “golden hour;” however, if additional medical support is required, they are cared for in our level 1 nursery. Our large nursery comfortably encourages parent presence and involvement. As soon as medically appropriate, we return the infant to their parents' bedside.

Our private postpartum rooms feature bathrooms/showers and continue to accommodate rooming-in and safe sleep for your infant with a bassinet and sleeping arrangements for your support person. To best support patients' optimal nutrition, personalized meal trays and access to a self-serve nutrition room are provided. We even offer vouchers to one support person to utilize in our new café. With a standard vaginal delivery and routine recovery of mother and baby, patients typically stay 24-48 hours after delivery. C-section deliveries typically stay for 48-96 hours following delivery.

While your stay is often short, you may want to share some of these special moments with family and friends. We welcome visitors while cautioning you to protect this sacred time to bond with your new little one, recover, and establish breastfeeding. All visitors should be symptom-free to ensure the health of our vulnerable patients.

Children are welcome to visit with an adult other than the patient who is present to care for them. We encourage visiting between noon and 9 p.m., but we remain flexible due to the nature of labor and delivery and offer a comfortable waiting room.

We provide a safe and secure environment for you and your baby. We maintain limited, access-controlled entry and departure from our unit. Our security alarm bands ensure that infants remain with their caregivers on the unit until they have been cleared for discharge.
