Marshall is now offering virtual visits with doctors through both telephone and video chat, making it easier for people to access care during the pandemic.
A video visit allows patients to meet with their primary or specialty care provider through a secure, privacy-compliant video chat, from the convenience and security of their own home. Video visits require a device with a camera, speakers and microphone, and a strong internet connection.
During both a telephone and video visit, providers can conduct a routine appointment, prescribe medications, coordinate additional treatment options, and assess whether further care is needed. Virtual visits can be suitable as a follow-up visit for an acute condition, medication management for chronic conditions, reviewing test results, and other types of visits where a close physical examination is not needed.
Telephone visits are available at all Marshall clinics. Video visits are available at most Marshall offices and access is rapidly being expanded.
