Marshall is proud to partner with the DAISY Foundation to honor the skilled, compassionate care of our nurses throughout the year.
The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award was established in 2000 in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at the age of 33 of an autoimmune disease. Patrick’s family was amazed by the skill, care and compassion of his nurses. In his memory, they created the Daisy award to express their gratitude for the extraordinary care nurses share with patients and families every day.
DAISY Award recipients are registered nurses who demonstrate clinical excellence, compassion, integrity and teamwork. Patients, family members, visitors, physicians and staff can nominate a nurse by sharing a story of the outstanding care the nurse provided.
