Marshall ER Receives Award for Excellence in Patient Experience

“This award represents an important recognition from Press Ganey, the healthcare industry’s leader in measuring, understanding, and improving the delivery of care. The providers and staff in Marshall’s Emergency Department work hard each day and night to ensure our patients have a positive experience receiving care,” said Siri Nelson, President and CEO, Marshall.
“The ER staff are sympathetic, compassionate individuals and it shows,” says Scott Hall, RN, Assistant Director in the Emergency Department. “These traits are important especially as emotions run high during emergency situations.” When it comes to patient experience, the ER has a committee to ensure patients are seen, treated and discharged as quickly and as safely as possible. “The committee monitors patient encounters for improvement; it’s this scrutiny that allows us to make changes to improve,” says Scott.
