For some, the stoplight on Highway 50 into Placerville is a pain. For Jamie
Johnson, new executive director of the Marshall Foundation, it was a stroke
of serendipity. Johnson visited the area several months ago in pursuit
of a new job and remembers experiencing Placerville for the first time.
