May 4, 2017 — New parents have questions. Marshall’s Community Health Education Department has answers. Pregnant women and their partners are welcome to join our next All About Having a Baby class beginning May 4.
The eight-week series will run each Thursday through June 15 at 681 Main St. in Placerville, in the Apple Pear Room located in the second floor. Each session will prepare moms and dads-to-be with healthy pregnancy and baby care advice. Expecting parents can learn about labor and birth, baby care, breastfeeding and more.
Participants will hear guest speakers, take part in demonstrations and receive a tour of Marshall’s Birth Center. At the end of the course, they’ll take part in a baby a shower. And it will all come courtesy of a most experienced instructor.
Community Health Education coordinator Paula Conriquez, ICCE, IBCLC, will facilitate the lessons (2017 marks her 13th year teaching prenatal classes). She is a Board-Certified Lactation Consultant and Certified Childbirth Educator.
There is no enrollment fee. Register by calling 530-626-2990 or online at the Classes / Events section of www.marshallmedical.org. Even they miss the May 4 event, participants can “drop in” in ensuing weeks. Space is limited.
