March 1, 2017 — In order to better provide care to Amador County residents, Marshall has announced it will open a satellite urology clinic there later this month.
On March 24, Marshall’s two urologists – John Montorello, MD and Jason Nelles, MD – will open for business at 617 New York Ranch Road in Jackson. They will see patients two days per-month, by appointment, at the Jackson location for consultations.
Marshall hopes to bring convenience to the local population. To find urology services currently, Amador County residents must either drive to Lodi, or Marshall clinics in Cameron Park and Placerville.
Regarding the urgency to open doors in Jackson, “I believe there is a real need,” answered Marshall CEO James Whipple. “Amador County previously had urologists with offices in Jackson, but they have since retired. Our urologists stepped up to try and support local services there, so that patients wouldn’t have to travel 30 minutes or more for urology care.”
Marshall is an independent, nonprofit community healthcare provider located in the heart of the Sierra Foothills. Marshall includes Marshall Hospital, a fully accredited acute care facility with 125 beds in Placerville; several outpatient facilities in Cameron Park, El Dorado Hills and Georgetown; and many community health and education programs.
