About Subramanyeswara (Subbu) Arekapudi

Dr. Subramanyeswara (Subbu) Arekapudi, was born and raised in India. Dr. Arekapudi completed his medical school from Kakatiya Medical College Warangal, India. Dr. Arekapudi came to the United States to pursue a graduate program in masters of public health in Hospital and Molecular Epidemiology at University of Michigan. Dr. Arekapudi subsequently joined a residency program at SGH/ Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University and completed his internships and senior years. Dr. Arekapudi later went on to pursue fellowship in Hematology/Oncology from Providence Hospital/Michigan state University and graduated in 2016. After graduation Dr. Arekapudi joined the Veterans administration of Central California-Fresno and served veterans for 4 years in several roles, such as Staff Oncologist, Division Chief of Oncology, Associate Chief of Staff for Research, Associate Program Director over Hematology Oncology. Dr. Arekapudi later joined a private practice in oncology for a few years briefly in Fresno as well as in Reno, NV before joining Marshall.

Dr. Arekapudi became a physician to serve, and an oncologist with a passion to accompany cancer patients throughout the journey. Dr. Arekapudi always strives to provide the best and utmost advanced care for all his patients. He delivers patient centered care with compassion and communication as two most important key elements. Dr. Arekapudi prioritizes making his patients understand their cancer diagnosis, available treatment options and the reasoning behind his recommendations based on evidence-based medicine. Dr. Arekapudi strongly emphasizes his patients on focusing on quality of living as the most important factor throughout their treatment journey. Dr. Arekapudi believes in bringing state of art and up-to-date cancer treatments to all patients that he encounters in his clinic.

Dr. Arekapudi is married and blessed with a son and a daughter who are in middle and elementary schools. As a family they like to travel a lot, hike, and visit national parks. Dr. Arekapudi loves nature and wildlife photography during his travels. During his leisure time he reads books with his kids, plays badminton, and bikes.
