About Jay Miser, PA

Jay Miser, PA earned his credentials as a physician assistant through the Stanford Primary Care Associate Program and later, his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from A. T. Still University of Health Sciences in Kirksville, Missouri.

Jay decided to become a physician assistant after working as a paramedic with the fire department. He was drawn to the team approach to healthcare and collaboration with physicians.

Jay has spent most of his medical career serving the people of El Dorado County and referred many of his patients to Marshall during his tenure at other facilities in the area. He decided to join the Marshall team because of their dedication to caring for the community.

When he’s not at work, Jay is very involved in his local church. He also enjoys skiing, woodworking, travelling, and gardening.
