About Heather Overman

Heather Overman, MD, is a board certified pediatrician with a passion for building lifelong partnerships with patients and their families. Prior to joining Marshall, she’s practiced pediatrics at Sutter Davis Hospital since 2018, providing guidance to newly expecting parents on pediatric care, attending deliveries, and pioneering many advancements in pediatric care. She received her undergraduate degree in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior at UC Davis before getting a medical degree from UC Davis School of Medicine.

While attending medical school and during the completion of her residency in pediatrics in UC Davis’ Pediatric Residency Program, she participated in many clinical and research projects, including the Klingenstein Fellowship in Child Psychiatry, working with underserved communities in Kenya to create free rural clinics and improving pre-hospital care, and improving vaccination rates for routine childhood immunizations in a continuity clinic where she completed her residency.

A native of Bakersfield, CA, Dr. Overman enjoys hiking, cycling, playing piano, and traveling. She recently reached the summit of Yosemite’s infamous Half Dome, and is currently learning Spanish to pursue an eventual goal of traveling to South America.
