About Debra Bugbee

Debra Bugbee, RN, FNP, joined Marshall Cardiology’s Cameron Park office in 2010. Her responsibilities include overseeing its Coumadin clinic. She is passionate about patient education and prevention.

Debra has been licensed as both a registered nurse and nurse practitioner for over 25 years. She received her nursing degree from Sacramento State before moving on to UCLA, where she earned a family nurse practitioner degree (with an emphasis in geriatrics) in 1990. She has been a preceptor for many nurse practitioner students and taught in UCLA’s nurse practitioner program.

Her wealth of knowledge includes nursing and nurse practitioner care in both telemetry and the Intensive Care Unit at Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento. She also worked at New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical College before pursuing hospital-based home care at the VA Medical Center in West Lost Angeles. She performed geriatric assessments at the Jewish Home for the Aging in Reseda and hospital care at Marshall’s Transitional Care Center. In recent years, she has been cross-trained in pulmonology.

While not working, Debra and husband Mike enjoy skiing, biking, fly fishing and serving in their local church. Together, they’ve raised three children in the beauty of El Dorado County.
