Combining comprehensive medication assisted treatment with a physician, counseling, case management and behavioral health, the team will create a personalized plan for your needs.

Medication Assisted Treatment

Medication Assisted Treatment of opioid use disorder involves the prescription of a longer-acting opioid such as buprenorphine (Suboxone), the safest alternative medications with minimal side effects.

Suboxone for the treatment of opioid use disorder can:

  • Block the effects of other opioids and relieve both cravings and withdrawal symptoms
  • Stop drug-seeking behavior
  • Reduce the risk of HIV and Hepatitis C infection
  • Help prevent life-threatening conditions caused by drug abuse
  • Help people live drug-free.

Treatment Payment Options

Marshall CARES accepts El Dorado County Medi-Cal and California Health and Wellness and most PPO insurance. Insurance is not a barrier as grants are available to assist with costs for opioid addiction treatment. Please call to inquire.
